Setup
The
Administrator has the over all control on department and functioning under the supervision of Secretary (Animal
Husbandry). Department is headed by a
Director assisted by a Assistant Director and Veterinary Assistant Surgeon in
the Directorate of Animal Husbandry. In every island Veterinary Assistant
Surgeons are looking after the functions of Animal husbandry activities as head
of institution with supporting staffs.
The livestock census is a separate cell under the central sector and
attached to Animal Husbandry Directorate with a Statistical Officer and
supporting staff.
