Lakshadweep
Government Press is the only
printing agency of this Administration.
The press was installed with letter press units early. Later the change of technology HQ Press was equipped with
Offset Machine, Process Camera, DTP system etc. As envisaged in the plan modernisation
has been started in 2002-2003 with the introduction of latest machineries . Lakshadweep Government Press is now in the ambit of
modernisation. During the last plan we could introduce latest
equipment like Mini Offset, Pack to Pack continous printing machine, Six Clamp
Perfect Binder, Threeway Timmer, Plate processor, Plate exposing system, Issue
of Plastic Identity cards for Official, residents, Pension, Students
etc.
This department has been producing Note
Books and Texts for Standard I to IV for education department. Note books along comes to 2.30 lakhs.
