The following is the community which is recognized as Scheduled   Tribe in Union Territory of Lakshadweep as per the Constitution (Scheduled Tribes) (Union Territories) Order, 1951 as amended in 1956:-

“Inhabitants of the Laccadive, Minicoy and Amindivi Islands who, and both of whose parents were born in those islands”.
